Assistant Professor of Marketing and Faculty Lead of the Digital Marketing Degree Program at Stevenson University
Takisha S. Toler is Assistant Professor of Marketing and Faculty Lead of the Digital Marketing Degree program at Stevenson University. Raised in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the first in her family to pursue a college degree. Dr. Toler holds a Ph.D. in International Business and Marketing and a Master’s of Business Administration from Saint Louis University, and a Bachelors of Marketing Management from the University of Memphis. Dr. Toler has combination of 15-plus years’ experience in global marketing, not-for-profit human resources, sales, B2C and B2B, as well as, six years of experience in the college classroom. Her research interests are in Cross-Cultural Crisis Response, Multiethnic Consumer Behavior and Racial-Ethnic Self Schema Development. She is currently affiliated with the American Marketing Association, the Academy of International Business, and the PhD Project. Dr. Toler serves as President of the Marketing Ethnic Faculty Association, Vice President of Collegiate Relations for the Baltimore American Marketing Association, and Vice Chair of Communications for the Marketing Communications Special Interest Group of the Academic Marketing Association Educators’ Chapter. Dr. Toler has presented her research at multiple academic conferences affiliated with the American Marketing Association, Marketing Management Association, Cross Cultural Research Conference, Athens Institute for Education and Research and the Academy of International Business.
