Senior Vice President, Brand Strategy at Buzzfeed
Phil Cara is the Senior Vice President of Brand Strategy at BuzzFeed, a leading digital media company producing news, entertainment and branded content. He manages a team of brand strategists, whose role is to advise leading brand marketers to create compelling content and distribute across the social web. Previously, Phil was a long time veteran at Yahoo, where he co-founded Yahoo Consumer Direct, a purchased-based targeting and measurement solution for the CPG industry. This was the first ever product that linked online ad sales programs with actual offline sales results. He joined The then Huffington Post as the Senior Vice President of sales, where he and his team created some of the first native advertising campaigns, mimicking HuffPost’s innovative social content. Prior to his digital career, Phil spent many years at The Readers Digest Association where he held several sales and marketing management positions.
